A Two Way Journey – Africans, Culture & the Diaspora

The exhibition “A Two Way Journey – Africans, Culture & the Diaspora” is now open at the African Caribbean Institute of Jamaica/Jamaica Memory Bank Library, Roy West Building, 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston.

The exhibition explores the horrors of the middle passage, while highlighting the transforming power of the African culture in the Diaspora and the return of this reinterpreted culture and “New World” ideologies to the motherland.

The African Caribbean Institute of Jamaica/Jamaica Memory Bank is a division of the Institute of Jamaica, an agency of the Ministry of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports.
The exhibition ends December 31, 2007.
